For a book that has like 10X the content (but you'll probably need 10X the time to read it all). This is probably the best Python Machine Learning book right now. It covers everything up to GPU stuff, whereas Data Science From Scratch basically scratches the surface because it is starting from zero.

To use Data Science tools to pick stocks there isn't much around currently when it comes to long term investment. This book does that though.

To cover Python well it's a good idea to have a dedicated book for it, there's only so much that Google can help you with. Python Crash Course is great for that.

For much simpler content on Machine Learning/Data Science stuff with Python.

To cover data-Science more completely this book does a better job. The A.I. Investor teaches investing at the same time, so fewer pages are used to teach the basics of machine learning. In fact the A.I. Investor is a smaller book.

For super basic data science stuff after Machine Learning I'd recommend this book if you've never come across the prediction algorithms before.

For data science basics, like starting from no understanding whatsoever Data Science from Scratch is definately a better book to work with
