For investing, and if you have more time and want to understand discounted cash flows, this book is quite good. To apply it you'll need to use a spreadsheet and dig into the financial statements though. It's a bit theoretical in that all stocks have to be valued with discounted cash flows.

More of a complicated/systematic view on investing   (2 Comments)

After understanding the basics from Stock market Investing 1X1, this is a good follow-on book as it delves deeper into what accounting features of a company are important.

I think this conneciton should exist

Peter Lynch has an investment record few can match, it's worth reading his thoughts on investing if you're going to be picking up stocks. Interestingly he says that the average person has a bigger advantage than fund managers because we have fewer incentives that can hinder performance.

Julian Robertson is basically THE fund manager. The staff who used to work for him (the Tiger Cubs) are immensely successful. He basically spawned a whole group of Billionaire fund managers.

Actually Bill Hwang was one of them, so it's not like are all perfect.

For the absolute basics about the stock market Stock Market Investing 1X1 is probably a better book. The A.I. Investor book tries to teach bits of investing as well as machine learning at the same time, which makes it feel a little cluttered.

The A.I. Investor is too complex for me, I think this one is better to understand the basics.
